Human Resource Planning
is an important core to an organization, but everyone will question what Human
Resource Planning is? Human resource Planning can be defined as plan the human.
The main objective of having human resource planning is to have an accurate
number of employees required, with matching skill requirement to accomplish
organization goals.
The reason why we need
good human resource planning:

Recruit
the right person to match organization needs
Labor force is one of
main resource to a company. Human resource manager should ensure that the
person that recruits is match organization needs. If we recruit the wrong
person to an organization, that organization will suffer for a period of time
and cost a lot such as time and money. Recruitment is a very serious process
meanwhile Human Resource Manager has to know who and what particular position
they need to hired.
b.
Ensure
that employees are allocated in the right position.
As we know that there
have large number of employees within an organization. For those who die, who
retire or quit the job need to be replaced by the new employees which are
capable to that position. Human resource planning ensures smooth supply of
workers without interruption. Example such as when employee A who in marketing
position had leave the organization, Human Resource have to replace someone who
is match and capable for that position.

should be the key elements in Human Resource planning? Discuss the relationship
among them in your selected organization.
Answer:
Three key elements of the HR planning are forecasting staffing needs, evaluating supply, balance supply and demand. Forecasting the number of employees
needed to run the business, evaluate the internal and external supply needs,
and balance both supply and demand needs within the company. The HR planning
model seeks to manage these changes proactively. This model helps HR manager to
forecast whether there will be a shortage or surplus of the workers in order to
fill the needs of the company.
3. What are
both quantitative & qualitative approaches to Human Resource forecasting?
Based on your opinion, which approach is more practical to your selected
organization?
Answer:
The quantitative
approaches that used in human resource forecasting are ratio analysis and
computerize forecasting the number of employees needed in an organization. The qualitative approaches that used in human
resource forecasting are Delphi technique and Nominal Group technique. Delphi
technique is widely used for a group decision-making and gathering data from
respondents within their domain and expertise. Besides, Nominal group technique
is a creative method that used to minimizes the personal exposure of
individuals (Sharing ideas & Votes)
that involving problem identification, solutions and decision making. So, practicability between them are
popular among smaller firms
is depending on the situation. For example, Apple companies are using Delphi
technique which is more efficient than Nominal Group technique.
